Getting to know Guana Cay

Love Beach is just a short golf cart ride from everything you need, including the ferry dock, grocery store, liquor store, Orchid Bay Marina, Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club and a variety of local restaurant bar favorites like Grabbers, Kidd’s Cove and Nippers

Darvin, our property manager and a 4th generation Bahamian, will provide all the local support while you are on the island. Whether you’re arriving by ferry, charter, or your own boat, Darvin will be there to greet you at the public dock on Guana Cay and bring you to Love Beach. Plus, Darvin is the proud owner of “Everything Guana,” where you can rent Golf Carts – the ultimate mode of transport on the Cay.

There are 3 restaurants plus various takeout options available on the island. Sunset seekers, you’re in for a treat! Grabbers Bar and Grill is the perfect spot to soak in those mesmerizing sunsets. Then there’s the legendary “Nippers” beach bar and restaurant – they serve up the irresistible “frozen Nipper,” a fruity concoction that packs a delightful punch! Last but not least, Kidd Cove re-opened in June ‘24 and serves up dioicous local fare and drinks with beautiful views overlooking the marina. There are a few takeout options like Mama’s Takeaway for those looking to grab and go.

Adventure enthusiasts, you’re in luck! Dive Guana offers thrilling diving, snorkeling, and out-island excursions. They also rent boats for island hopping and paddle boards. Check out their site at www.diveguana.com for all the options. There are also various boat rental companies on Marsh Harbour including www.bluewaverentals.com for additional boat rental and charter options.

When it comes to docking and dining, options abound in the nearby islands. Abaco Inn and Firefly on Elbow Cay, Pineapples and Turtle Cay Marina on Green Turtle Cay, and “Big O’s” on No Name Cay (home to swimming pigs) are one-of-a-kind places to visit.   Our advice? Explore the nearby Cays like Elbow, Green Turtle, No Name, and Treasure Cay. For the inside scoop on navigating and the best restaurants, just ask Darvin.
